Definition of prepoo

Pre shampoo is a treatment applied before shampoo. Some of these treatments are done with either oils, conditioners or a combination of both togheter.

Benefits of prepooing natural hair:

Prepoo is an optional step on wash way routine that can:
– Add moisture to your hair
Natural hair loves moisture and when it becomes dry and brittle due to chemical and physical damages, prepoo can bring back the moisture that your hair was craving.

– Make hair more elastic and less prone to breakage
The emollients and oils make the hair so manageable and softer that the hair appears naturally bouncier, shinier and healthier that before.

– Help hair preserve its natural oils
Over shampooing your hair can strip the natural oil from the scalp. This often causes hair to become brittle, dry and prone to breakage due to a lack of moisture. So, one way prepoo helps is by providing enough moisture to your hair to the point where shampoo can only remove the excess oil while washing.

Next, using the double boiling method put the bowl in a pot with hot water.
Keep the fire on medium for 1 minutes or until it is warm enough for the application.

You can check the temperature of the mixture with you you fingers so it doesn’t burn your scalp.

Finally, put the mixture in the applicator bottle and it’s ready to be used on your natural hair starting from the tips to the roots. Make sure you detangle your hair with your fingers or use a wide tooth comb to make the process easier.
